novel story - Laurel Corona shares Vivaldi in Venice in his new novel - The Four Seasons

I've just The Four Seasons by Laurel Corona and was swept away by this story of the age of about two sisters. Typically, an entry in the history of the age always the kind of book that I pick up and pretty sure that I want to be, but this, I was about it in the 18th Century Venice is located in demand. This rich, historical fiction, however, does not disappoint. is filled with all the fabulous city of Venice today, it is even more beautiful, I think of the time when the story of two very different sisters instead.
In Venice, in 1695 two sisters baby on the steps of the abandoned hospital are known as the Pieta. Here they are in the brand on the heels of the feet with the little "P" stands for Taken "Pieta" and the reader learns, and Maddalena Chiaretta. The two sisters grew up in this orphanage, run by the Church to teach girls singer or musician. The nobility of Venice, with concerts of religious music extravaganza by the orphan who trained to be served to lead the privileged citizens of Venice.
To grow and Chiaretta Maddalena, but are can be as different as two sisters. Because girls are taught the Pieta, Chiaretta shows the possibility of a great soprano, and in fact an amazing solo singer and became famous. However, will Chiaretta, voluntary and impetuous is to marry a noble and crossing the boundaries of the Pieta. Maddalena, the eldest, is now silent and loyal, as she grows and works with several instruments before they come to love the violin at the most. It takes the instrument with passion and his life does work, but along the road, begins a dangerous relationship with his violin teacher.
Chiaretta achieved his goal and got married in one of the most famous families in the city right. Her husband is none other than Claudio Morosini, the dashing and beautiful Venetian whose family the most influential in the empire. The Pieta plays his role in organizing a wedding for Chiaretta and Claudio, but she quickly learns that everything has a cost. As a woman, she must give up certain ideals, it deals with a man who keeps company with harlots, and finally brings Chiaretta consider becoming a lover for himself. Chiaretta, now a strong woman in Venice, the other got on the infidelity of her husband, Claudio search, and have seen everything, but still about how all this will affect her close relationship with Maddalena concerned. Because even thought they are very different life, they are still very loyal and devoted sisters.
Meanwhile, studies Maddalena include more than the violin, she notes with the teacher, Vivaldi. Antonio Vivaldi, a priest and was little known even among those suspected to have many wives. With his wild red hair, Vivaldi is known as the "Red Priest" and when the life of the Maddalena, that everything that occurs to change it. That is why his life is a constant danger and confusion, highs and lows, a little luck, but a lot of trouble. "Vivaldi is paid to develop the music for chorus and orchestra in Pieta, a muse is in Maddalena. His skillful violin playing with his sharp ear and imagination, draws paired and although they are often ill and exhausted looking, she is attracted to him. If the travel to work elsewhere Vivaldi to leave different cities, remains behind Maddalena and working permanently in the music in Pieta, with great hopes that the "Red Priest" is back for a while and then come to their senses and realize how important Maddalena him and is his love for her. Chiaretta while taking pleasure in their animation, public life, Maddalena custody confess to them and finally begins to advise young girls and fill their maternal instincts in this way.
These sisters lived this imbalance are filled with sharp contrasts. Although Chiaretta shares news and views from the luxurious life she lives with art, jewelry and clothing made rich, compliments Maddalena, as it presents the level, the peaceful life of the Pieta. Although history shows that Vivaldi was in fact the purchase with a violin bow on a young student the Pietà, the rest of this article of luxury for two very different but always loving, loyal, love is life and sisters, but fiction. But the comparison of these two extraordinary women and their striking contrast makes this tale in black and white, hot and cold, very rewarding and fascinating history.
What happens to these two sisters spent their lives very differently and hold the light can not stop until you know what happens to find scrolls with them both. Fans of historical fiction, fraternal loyalty, and the coming of age novels will enjoy this book very much.
