The manuscript is not reformat hard at all. In fact, the hardest part is knowing what to send and what not to send. The first thing you want to do is check the market writers, or the current edition of the novel & Short Story Writer's Market, verify the requirements of the output. Do not send to you to do nothing. Otherwise, you risk having your manuscript rejected.
If anyone is interested in publishing your novel, you must send the following:
- A letter
- A title page
- A table of contents
- 3 Sample chapter
- A reply postcard or SASE
You should always use your novel format with margins of 1 inch on all sides and be safe, a title page. Remember, the number of front page, because you start your page numbering with the introduction, prologue, or to begin the first chapter.
Then use a drop line in the upper left and start each chapter around one third of the way on the page. Use page breaks at the end of each chapter, so you start a new section on a separate page. Start of the body five fifty-six lines below the chapter and indent five spaces if you start a new paragraph.
A new manuscript, which is sent to a traditional publishing house, must be double-spaced. All words must be italicized should be underlined. For 12-point font, either Times New Roman, Arial and Courier. Always use white paper £ 20. Colored paper is not accepted and will be rejected.
If you're self-publish your book with companies such as Infinity, suburban press, iUniverse, etc., you will need to visit their website and request a manual processing. Each company is different if you make sure that you want it right.
On the other hand, if you decide to download your eBook, is a manuscript in any case very well, but they are usually written in a single room with double-spaced paragraphs. You want your book is for the eyes, the reader simply use a good decision.
So if you think you have your novel to the correct specification is formatted, it should not be a reason why you can send not to be and Good Luck.
