Novel Story - Regency Romance England offers with Christian values

Reader Views Interviews Linor Rose Burkard, author of "Before the end of the season."
Today, Reader Views is pleased Linor Rose Burkard, author of a novel Regency England Christian Romance, "Before the end of the season interview." Linor welcome.
Irene: What inspired you to write "Before the end of the season?
Linor: I wanted a novel that has been read Inspirational Regency. Period. I waited for years to write for someone else, and then I realized that if it would never happen, it would be my job! So I did. I joined the Regency, which I love, with a message of inspiration. I wanted the experience of faith for the Adventure. Fun and faith are not contradictory!
In addition, as a fan of Georgette Heyer, I wanted to see more books like theirs, have purchased in the direction away from the formula of the plots too often in the genre. As horrible as it sounds, I thought I could do more "to bring reality" in both the characters and landscapes, what is often a large number of mass paperbacks that to get it. I am not saying that what exists is bad, just that I wanted to be different.
Irene: What do you mean by "conspiracy formulas"?
Linor: I mean the kind of track where you know what you get when you finish the first chapter. Maybe people like that, I prefer more of a set-up, where the characters go to real people, and they do things in nature - and not just the property.
Irene: This book is a "Christian Fiction." What is the difference between fiction and Christian fiction is different?
Linor: Christian fiction starts with a Christian worldview. Not all characters have to share this world view, and usually are not, but the author have, and it must get through.
Irene: "Before the end of the season" is Regency Romance. Please explain to read the audience what that means.
Linor: The English Regency (1811-1820, politician), was the time when the Prince of Wales became regent in place of his father, George III was (who is as crazy. It was not, but it is for an interview!) By Jane Austen and Lord Byron are numbers Regency, Beau Brummell, Princess Caroline, Napoleon and Wellington, many great historical figures! Austen, in my opinion, has created the genre with her novels to life, and Georgette Heyer further developed and made popular, perhaps even to define.
While that is set in this period, the Regency has many devoted to gender-specific and must be seen in history, how much of the language and places that are used. In general, however, the reader can expect that the Regency was fun and clean, to the extent that the novel is. Regencies are known to be fun, even to the point of crazy fun, but romantic and unforgettable.
Irene: Why do you think of Regency romance novels are so popular?
Linor know people that they do not pick up "War and Peace" when they are read. The Regency, as I said, is a great pleasure, the hypocrisy of the social order and its values is only a springboard for all kinds of settings and situations that novelists can create a very nice good stories. At the same time there are many implausible in many regencies is (in my opinion) a problem for the publication. Editors want to see a handful of plots formula and that is all. Suffers the Regency genre as a whole. But they are still very popular because the time is incredibly interesting, the novel is cleaner (which reminds me of many modern editors do not realize that our readers use thanks to our imagination) like. And the stories are primarily centered around the upper class, people could live the way we all we want. This is so much fun preparing.
Irene stop: The authors of novels never to surprise me. Your imagination has to happen at any time, create a plot that the reader curious about the pages turn holds. Give us a quick overview on how to do this.
Linor: I guess you hit the nail on the head with the word "imagination". When I was a child, I always believe the terrible things that can happen. It is very real to me and I was always scared silly! (Laughter) I finally realized I could use the power of imagination in my good opportunities, I could use a funny way. This was an important turning point for me! I think all writers should ask themselves questions like "What if this or that happened?" Sometimes I wish that something happened and I have to ask: "What would think of it, first highlight a particular reaction in a character? Or forced into this situation, which do, or something else (I want them)
I mean, in a novel, for example, you must find a way to get your characters together, but not really all that the book is finished! You need a kind of tension, even the (I think) keeps the reader scrolls is. We all want to know how they go to work? The bottom line in all fiction, is that there are any questions that demand and so they get the answers they keep reading.
Irene: How do you expect, what the reader would ask?
Linor: The questions are almost inevitable in any situation, ask them simple. For example, something happens - if the reader wants to know: What happens now? However, a common problem, if it does not really love how they are to resolve their differences? The key to the plot gives the reader some advance information on the history, but without the end too soon. After you answer all the questions, the story is finished.
Irene: Sometimes the action so standard that in the end I think, "Well, it was a fact." How can you with a property that is not predictable at the end?
Linor: In fact, knowing the end is sometimes agree, as long as you can keep your readers to guess how the characters will get there. Romance readers want a happy ending, but if you have them all in before the end, where the fun is in it? It is normal for them to say: "Well, I only know these two will end up together, but I have to see how it goes!" Very good. Very good. But for the last meeting should be very pleased to advise that it has everything, all the twists and turns, with a value of each page. Anyway, it's an art to make this right. You do not want your readers or frustrating them too much, too soon. It's a fine line to balance.
Irene: How did you come with the characters? Are they the model of man, you know?
Linor: My characters are combinations of each and everyone I know! Of course, there are a lot of me in some of them, I do not think that the author does not entirely avoid that, put in at least some (maybe all) people. But I could not say this or that character was inspired by this or that, except maybe one of them.
Irene: Is there a part of the book that you reflect your own experiences?
Linor: in practical terms? I think if Ariana feels as if she was alone in a strange city, and it must come from my experiences. I lived alone for five years while I worked full time and get to college, and sometimes I felt very, very isolated. But I also think that God answers prayers - sometimes very strange, unexpected way! - Ariana and discovered that, too.
Irene: Some people say they have read "Before the end of the season" more than once. What do you think inspired to read this again later, especially if they know the plot?
Linor: Again, I think the feeling of pure enjoyment. I read it to me a few times - although the book in my ears when editing! - And I guess I know the ground better than anyone else! (Laughs) But I still enjoy the story. Readers told me they laughed, during reading, (and some have said, they cried), but I think it is the sense of reality, it could have really taken place, combined with the safety net for the fun factor that people leads to more return than once. Perhaps the way to change the character so much that they were at the beginning of the book, and they are here at the end. It's so seamless, natural, and yet little by little, as in real life. There is a charm in this. Another way to look at things is that it's a comfort "book is. One of those books that you can relax with for a while and feel better for reading. You know, you will not regret it and you will not . kill
Irene: Do you think that some readers, in line with the characters and their future - perhaps in a sort of fancy way?
Linor: Absolutely. Therefore, we can admire beautiful heroines love, I think all readers of each book is to live vicariously in this book. But we must be able to understand their motivations. We must also realize, if they make mistakes, but still rooting for her. Have a really stupid heroin he was carrying the reader, because it be intelligent, like you, want to maybe even smarter. She has to show you what you may be, it raises the possibilities, hopes and dreams. But if it too stupid or crazy, you do not want to identify with her, and I think it would be a disadvantage.
Irene: So what is the future? What do you do now?
Linor was: My first plan, "set Debutante", the brand new characters appeared in each book. For many, many readers told me that they continue as a series, the story, but if instead of the beginner, I can, "The Chronicles Regency Light (Before the end of the season's first book of the chronicles, even if the name of, Regency Light Chronicles not on the cover of this first edition is published). I do four or five books and more in this series, and then I'll probably get for the beginner series, because I already started a number of them.
In the meantime, I am also developing a series of presentations, each about 45 minutes at the Regency. There's this wonderful tea house in my town, very elegant and pretty, and I think that tea mother / daughter teas, or a history buff there. I made a Regency costume, and once installed it to my satisfaction, I am ready to begin the talks am. You will have fun!
