novel story - Donation of Mystery - Elizabeth Peters Author

The murders of Richard III, was first published in 1974, was the first novel by Elizabeth Peters, I have ever read. I do not know when I read it, probably in 1976 when I was fifteen, and instead become a fan of Elizabeth Peters immediately, I was actually a fan of Richard III.
Who is Richard III, you ask? his birth in 1452, he was the third son of Richard, Duke of York, the King of England would, and was ready to war against the man, who is currently the throne, Henry VI. In fact, Richard, died in a battle of the Wars of the Roses (Yorkist symbol "a white rose, the house of Henry of Lancaster, was a red rose), but his son, Edward, has finished on the throne as Edward IV
Edward had two younger brothers, Clarence and Richard. Edward marries a commoner, to the chagrin of the country who marry foreign princesses to their kings, is likely to strengthen the power of the country abroad. Edward died at the age of 40 years, was dead Clarence (executed on behalf of Edward, that Clarence had betrayed had) and Richard ascended the throne of Richard III.
Richard said, children of Edward, which he ruled out three, two boys and a girl, illegitimate, and therefore from the estate. Visit the Tower of London every day and is on a tour of the Beefeaters likely you will see the room where the two boys were kept, and where they were killed on the orders of Richard, choked to death, then buried under a staircase.
"Ah, I Said. All lies!
Believe it or not, the guys were probably survived Richard III, and instead were of Henry VII, the last king of Lancaster, only the Battle of Bosworth, has won killed when a few faithful followers of Richard and told him allowed the enemy to be killed and surrounded. Henry VII was killed because he canceled the account of "faith" that the boys made illegitimate for him to marry her sister Elizabeth, who had more rights to the throne than him unite (except the right of conquest) the two houses and bring the Wars of the Roses to an end.
Creep.
After Henry VII came to her son, Henry VIII, Caprice, I'm sure everyone knows that the guy who had ordered six women, and the dissolution of the monasteries. With its accession to the throne of the Tudor dynasty was founded.
But back to Richard III.
In the novel Peters, their main characters to beautiful librarian Jacqueline Kirby and Thomas Carter, his friend, Sir, a part of the house to visit in the English language on a weekend when a group of enthusiasts from Richard III to have a meeting. Jokes, designed to imitate the death of people in the real life of Richard III, apparently escalated to murder ... Jacqueline Kirby can save the day?
It is quite clear, the book is Elizabeth Peters, the side of those that Richard III was innocent of the heinous crime of murdering his nephew to believe, and many other things, the people who saw the play by William Shakespeare Richard III thinking, they know the people.
And as I said, it was after the book that I started my own research Richard III, and became an advocate for him in a small way. (There are many of us!)
Who knows how many Americans are interested Richard, after reading his book - the American branch of the Society Richard III is a pretty big ... but there certainly are many of them before 1974!
Elizabeth Peters influence "on U.S. interests in Egyptology is easier to follow.
Only a year after his novel by Richard III in 1975, she wrote a book entitled Crocodile on the sandbank. In 1884, England, Miss Amelia Peabody has inherited much of the money and decides to travel. It landed in Egypt where she falls in love with the country and the infant mortality rate science of Egyptology, and possibly with an Egyptologist named Radcliffe Emerson. It is a mystery to solve, of course, it has distinctive in their own style.
I came to this book a little later, in the 1980s. I am not saying that once again the Peters sent me on a journey, this time in Egyptology (was already done when I have a late-night screening of Charlie Chan in Egypt captured), but only cemented my interest. But this time I was also a fan of Elizabeth Peters permanent.
Peters, in real life, Barbara Mertz, an Egyptologist is done, and she writes about the subject with expertise and his own style, the inimitable detective skills Amelia Peabody's!
Peters has not written a sequel Crocodile on the sandbank until six years later, it seems the curse of the pharaohs. And it took another four years seemed to mom before the fall. (Barbara Mertz is a prolific writer. In the years between those pounds Peabody three years she has written a dozen books with other characters) Since 1985, however, either because Amelia Peabody was a popular character Peters or because the books sold so well Peabody , suites began to appear on an annual basis so that now, in 2008 there are total of 18
All Books Amelia Peabody city, particularly in Egypt, and the face of Egyptology and mystery and murder, arising out of this area. It took until the fall of the golden bird, published in 2006, they finally found (with the help of Howard Carter, to get the credit!) The grave of King Tutankhamun (that would be 1922).
How do I know Peter's Amelia Peabody series has inspired many people to study Egyptology - but only as a hobby, not really become Egyptologists themselves?
Now, as published in addition to the books of fiction Peters Amelia Peabody's Egypt, a work of non-fiction (with interludes of fiction) a match between what life was like in England and Egypt in the late 1800s and early 1900s, and the status of Egyptology at the time. Apparently this has, at least in part to fan demand, produce, provided they could obtain information on the subject.
Barbara Mertz was born 29th September 1927. To date she has written 65 books of fiction, two non-fiction books on Egyptology, and was a combination of both (Egypt previously mentioned Amelia Peabody.
It is a legacy, and that is catapulted into the joys of reading books themselves, it is by a reader on a journey through education as well as. For me, I owe a great debt. For the interests and passions that have enriched my life for over twenty years, all thanks to the magic of the letter from Barbara Mertz, let me tell you, thank you!
