A classification of sub-genres of travel time, even a sub-genre of science fiction

Time travel enables the reader to consider, with the past with a modern perspective. It jumps into the distant future and the testimony of the events that transpired after our company, and we left. It enables you, with famous people that interact died. It lets an important decision and saw how it affect us or our society. Perform complex, complicated stories, where past and present interact in unpredictable ways: great place for Mystery Stories.
I've always been (almost) obsessed with reading novels, time travel, and movies. In fact, I read so much that I eventually realized there are many sub-genres of the voyage in time, of course, a sub-genre of science fiction. Here I attempt to classify the sub-genres of Time Travel. Note that obviously, some stories have more than one classification. I also tried to make an example of the film (because it is the best known), where I could not think.
Alternate Reality: In this class of novel / film, the protagonist travels to the past and made a change that affects this. Sometimes this happens several times. The point here is to examine, in general, as one or more decisions, which sometimes can be very low, the world may have changed. Example: A Sound of Thunder.
Anthology: a collection of short stories stories or 2-3 medium-sized enterprises. Although not specific to the travel time, I feel compelled to mention it because it is one of classification, which can be used for Time Machine.
Effects of time travel-technology on society in these novels and films is the journey not actually reached. But then something happens in the context: some knowledge transfer in the past or the future into the present. This knowledge is so important, so radical, it affects every person in the world - and change society. For example: new film Knowing (Nicolas Cage).
Fantasy: There are many fantasy novels where the journey takes in the time (can not think of a good movie). Although a number of ways to do this is not a difference, so I personally feel that it works. Since the time of travel (usually) allows the reader to consider a future version of our world - or vice versa - see the world as it was, I do not think its use in a fantasy world has the same meaning. So I gave the novels their own classification.
Future Reality: In this class of novel / film, the protagonist is somehow transported into the future. It could use a time machine will be frozen, refrigerated, or close to the speed of light. The bottom line is, we will visit the opportunity to - or more - version of the company's future. Example: Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Planet of the Apes, The Time Machine
Historical figures in many novels focusing on the use of various real-life characters who lived at some point in time, usually to get their perspective on a topical issue. These characters are either in contact with people of today, or who literally moved in time our present or future. You might be surprised, but there are many novels with this premise. Example: show the Voyager probes, 80s (I Used To Love that one!)
Past and Future Time Travel: The focus of these novels is usually explore a variety of different time periods: past, present and future, a future far, the infinitely distant future. Normally, the point is adventure, experienced an incredible variety of companies and situations. If done well, it can be really good.
Time Travel past the focus of these novels is the examination of a historic setting. Although the author can write just to do a story in this historical period (rate and obviously many), using a device to get the some kind of time at that time, the modern historical period examined in sight. Not to be forgotten is the adaptation create many opportunities paradox (a paradox: How do I love thee? Let me count the ways!). Example: Installation, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court and the time tunnel.
Staff alternate reality like "alternate reality" that the life of a person, not change society as a whole. The point here is to examine, in general, as one or more could influence personal decisions that during the life of a person. This is a very popular film event. Example: Groundhog Day, Back to the future.
Time Travel staff: different 'Personal alternate reality. In this category of novels / films, the protagonist is usually some kind of ability to travel back and forth in his own life, often (but not always) without the ability to make changes to do when certain events over and over again . Example: The Butterfly Effect.
Plot Device: in these novels / movies, time travel is an important part of the action, although often only one way to grow in a certain way. I also have novels with a type of effect of the time - including time travel is not required. For example, the recent season of Lost.
