Kalki is a name, the memories of the rich and the saga of war, patriotism, love and loyalty in the decision-making and setting of this kingdom are the times of the Chola dynasty in southern India triggers.
Those who've read the novels of Kalki, will show once in a nostalgic scenes as Kalki at the mere mention of his name. I am one of those who had opportunity to read some of his novels. I love his unique way we make the events in our minds.
The beauty of nature and the fertile landscapes, colorful thoughts run in strategic thinking, expressing feelings and emotions of the characters are presented in detail clear. Detailed descriptions of each scene that the preparation for war or an encounter between two people in love, their conversation is, place and atmosphere and all designed so well in his words. For decades, many novels Kalki the enthusiasm of the Tamil readers for over half a century. To some of the Kalki masterpieces were published in journals Andnda Tamil Vikatan and later on in Kalki.
My favorite is Kalki "Parthiban Kanavu", which was made as a result a good movie. This is the story of how dreams Chola King Parthiban restoration of the Chola Empire was in the clutches of Pallava King Narasimhavarman. Parthiban expresses his dreams for his son Vikraman was very young and is later killed. A monk vows to Parthiban Vikraman he would realize his dream. Vikraman after growing in love and are in a beauty under mysterious circumstances, he meets later, the dream of his father, an independent Chola with its capital Uraiyur.
A series of incidents in the break do show extraordinary courage, betrayal, loyalty, suspense and mystery followed. The monk's identity is revealed in the thrilling climax. One can not help marveling at the strong characterization, the sequence of events and the tension throughout the novel with such clarity that puts us just at this time.
Kalki whose real name is R. Krishnamurthi for the majority of the population of Tamil readers as a well-known writer who has written two historical novels and social well known. But he did contribute his credit novels, travel books, biographies and essays, all types of Tamil literature.
He brought a breath of fresh air in the Tamil literary scene with his capacity for social life and culture of our country in its characters and events to inspire with realism. He was with natural humor writing flows benefit from his writings to the readers of his writings and read them over and over valued. Be a patriot, he he made it his patriotic zeal to draw characters.
Kalki novels Thiaga Boomi, Magudapathi, Apalayin Kanner, Alasi Osai, Devakiyin Kanavan, Kalvanin Kadhal etc and many other stories will appear later, and series have been published in books. It is no exaggeration to say that Kalki was the pioneer of historical novels in Tamil.
